What is a dumpster that rolls off?

Roll off dumpsters are different from regular dumpsters, and they are often used for home improvement or construction projects. Roll-off dumpsters are rectangular and have open tops instead of lids. They come in different sizes. Most dumpsters are 15, 20, 30, or 40 cubic yards in size.

What would I use a dumpster for?

Whether you’re doing some cleaning around the house or a big renovation, renting a dumpster can help you get the job done faster and better. What If The Dumpster Causes Damage?

Getting a dumpster is at your own risk.  Please understand the dumpsters and trucks are very heavy, so it is possible it could cause damage to where you are putting it.  We put wood under the can when placed on the driveway. This almost always protects the driveway, but we do not take responsibility for any damage.

Why Do I Get Charged For Overweight?

We take the dumpsters to transfer stations who charge us based on the weight of the dumpster. We include a certain amount of weight in the price you pay for the dumpster. However, if it does go over the weight limit you are charged for the additional weight.

What Happens If My Dumpster Is Overfilled?

If the dumpster is too full we will not pick it up and you will be charged a trip charge. In some cases, if it is a matter of just an item or two unsafely thrown on top. The driver will take those off and leave them on property.

How much will it cost to rent a dumpster?

This depends on the company, but most will charge fees for pick-up, drop-off, fuel surcharge, tonnage, and rental per day. Depending on your situation, there may be other fees as well. Make sure to talk to the company ahead of time about your needs.

Will I Need to Lock My Dumpster?

Most temporary dumpsters are used for projects like remodelling and don’t need to be locked. Most dumpsters are locked so that animals can’t get in to look for food scraps and cause trouble.

How Long Does It Take to Pick Up?

As a rule, you can schedule a pick-up date in advance with your dumpster rental company, or you can contact them and let them know it’s ready to go and book a time with them then. Next-day or two-day service is generally available in most areas.

Will it damage my driveway or landscaping?

We know that when you mix a dumpster rental, driveway, sidewalk, grass and expensive landscaping, you might be less than thrilled with the final result! Despite our precautions, however, there is always the potential of damage to your property. This damage can be caused by heavy trucks, the weight of the containers or poor surface conditions. Buffalo Dumpster Rental HQ is not financially liable for the damages caused by normal dumpster operation.

What size dumpster do I need?

Obviously, the size of the dumpster you’re going to need will depend on the size of your project. We offer 10, 15, 20 and 30 yard dumpsters. Recommendations are available on our website, or you can call our office and one of our friendly and experienced customer service representatives will be happy to help you reach a decision.    

How high can I load my dumpster?

When the dumpster is picked up the driver will put a tarp over the load for containment during transport. We ask that you don’t load any material above the top rails of the dumpster that will interfere with the tarp. Try to keep the load flat and distribute the weight as evenly as possible. If for any reason the dumpster is improperly loaded and cannot be transported safely, you will have to unload the dumpster to a safe level before we can remove it. Additional charges may be assessed.  

What if I fill the dumpster and still have “junk” left over?

When we pick up your full dumpster we’re happy to bring you another or, if there’s only a small quantity left over, pick it up at an additional charge.

What kind of debris do you dispose of?

We specialise in working with most types of home improvement, demolition and cleanout projects, but there are some items we simply don’t have the resources to dispose of per EPA guidelines.

How long can I keep my dumpster rental?

All of our dumpsters come with a 14 day rental agreement; however, we understand that sometimes projects take longer than expected.

What do I get when I order Buffalo Dumpster Rental HQ?

Each of our dumpster rentals comes with delivery to your home, office or construction site, a full two week rental and disposal of your trash (up to designated weight limits). The rental period or waste volume may be increased for an additional fee.  

How much do dumpster rentals cost?

When you order your dumpster rental, customer service reps will take your location and the size of your dumpster into consideration and give you an all inclusive quote for the price of your dumpster. Remember, because we’re a local company we can give you the best price in the biz!

How Do You Take Payment?

We require payment at the time of delivery. We accept cash and debit/credit cards for payment methods.

Will My Driveway Be Protected?

Yes, always. We put down wood to protect the property at every delivery.

Can I Move the Dumpster?

No. We suggest someone being there at time of delivery (not required) or explain where exactly they want the dumpster placed on your property. If we do not know, we will try our best to place it in the most convenient spot possible. Call us If you have questions about location. 

Can I Rent More Than One Dumpster?

Most simply put, yes. You can rent as many dumpsters as needed for removing refuse from your business.

What Size Dumpster Should I Rent?

This depends entirely on the amount of waste that you need removed. Large reconstruction projects will require significantly bigger dumpsters than an average day or week might generate, for example. To put things in perspective, a 15-yard dumpster is for small jobs like cleaning out your garage or replacing the floor in your kitchen. How much space does the dumpster need?

For each type of dumpster, this site gives the size of the dumpster. It is recommended that you give twice as much space as the width and height of the dumpster to make sure there is enough space and height clearance. Also, think about adding 10′ for the swinging door on the back of the dumpster.

What If I Need an Extra Haul?

You can get extra loads along with your order. There will be extra costs.

Will I Be Billed for Extra Weight?

Yes, you will be charged extra fees based on the terms and conditions if your tonnage is more than what was included in your initial order.

Do I need a permit for a  dumpster?    

 Depends on the town.

Where do the contents of my dumpster go after it is picked up?

 We try to recycle as much as we can. What we can not salvage goes to the dump.​

Are your dumpsters safe for my driveway?

There is a risk we do our best to protect your driveway with wood planks.

Due to the logistics involved, dumpsters are available for rent on a first come first serve basis. if we can accommodate it you may be able to get a dumpster the same day of your order.

What If It Rains?

All of the excess water will be drained out when the dumpster is picked up and put on the truck. Yes, it could affect the weight if there are things that soak up water. There is nothing we can do about this. We too get charged for that water weight. If you are very worried about it, we suggest you put a tarp tightly over it to keep water out.

Will The Container Be Picked-Up Automatically?

Yes.  We will automatically return in 7 days to pick up the container unless you instruct otherwise.

Will The Dumpster Damage My Property?

We respect your property and make every effort to ensure no damage is caused. Protective barriers are placed between your property and our hook-lift dumpsters to ensure no damage is done.
